EGG Donation
oocyte donation makes the miracle of life possible for women who would not be able to have children any other way.
What is Egg donation?
Due to the general tendency of postponing motherhood, the main factor affecting fertility today is age. Female fertility decreases quite sharply after 38 and when you´re over 40, the chances of getting pregnant are limited.
Using the donor´s eggs offer much better pregnancy rates than using the patient´s eggs, and at the same time, it allows the patient to become pregnant herself.
Egg donation is an assisted reproductive treatment which involves an in vitro fertilization (IVF) with eggs from a donor. Thanks to this technique, women who cannot use their own eggs due to various reasons, can still get pregnant. Donor eggs are fertilized with the partner´s sperm and the selected embryo is transferred into the uterus of the patient. Egg donation gives women who cannot have children the opportunity to gestate an embryo on their own, from the eggs of a donor and the sperm of the receiving couple.
Egg Donor
An egg donor is a woman who offers to donate her eggs from her ovaries to another person to help them grow a family
Choosing egg donation
Selecting an egg donor is a significant decision that involves emotions and careful consideration. Before recommending egg donation, your doctor will evaluate your fertility, health history, age, and past fertility treatments to determine if it’s a suitable option for you. To ensure that the donor is medically suitable and free of genetic or psychological health issues, physician review and screening are conducted. With our Egg Donation Program, we can assist you in finding the right match. We are also happy to refer you to other programs so you can compare all possible options.
